Personalised learning - starting from the child

We are very proud of our commitment to meet the differing needs of children as far as is possible.

Both the nursery and school have a Special Needs Coordinator who leads assessment and provision for SEND pupils, but within the staff as a whole there is much expertise in providing for children with different needs – from Makaton, to Speech and Language support, Dyslexia-friendly teaching and ASD.

In all cases, we start from where the child is, and from existing learning and strengths.  We communicate closely with parents, and with external learning support agencies if appropriate.
