About our Nursery

Our Nursery has exceptional facilities in a beautiful and enriching environment. We are especially committed to outdoors learning in the Nursery’s own gardens and in our wooded area, where we offer Nursery children weekly Forest School sessions.

Uniquely, our Nursery children are offered specialist teaching from Music, PE, French and Forest School teachers during the week.

Charters Ancaster’s values start with our very youngest children in the Nursery.

The primary schools to which our nursery children progress always report that Charters Ancaster children are well-prepared for school, confident, polite and enthusiastic about learning..

Children can start at any point during the year but it is recommended that a space is reserved as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Your child is welcome to experience the nursery on a free taster morning of your choice.

Nursery staff are caring and highly qualified. The nursery has an ongoing commitment to training.

Discounts are available to nursery children progressing into the Reception class.

A uniform is available to give the children a sense of identity.

Our Aims Are:

  • To create a relaxed, family atmosphere in which a child’s natural eagerness to learn is encouraged
  • To treat each child as an individual whose abilities and talents are developed
  • To ensure success and the growth of confidence for each child
  • To extend the able and support those with difficulties
  • To develop social awareness and a respect for tolerance, courtesy, self-discipline and the rights of others
